Peacock feather

How wonderful it is to be off work for two weeks, apart from the odd bit of housework, I have spent the whole first week in my craftroom, (yes I am very fortunate to have a room to myself instead of having all my craft things dotted around the house like I used to in my other home) ahhh luxury. I have started to stick to my first thought when deciding how to do a card, or else I can analyse to death for ages and that is so much hard work, anyway, when less is more announced that this weeks challenge was fur or feathers, I immediately thought of a peacock, so voila. I am also entering this card for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week which is square cards, these clean and simple challenges are really helping me as they are not usually my thing, but I totally admire people like Debby Hughes of Limedoodle and Lisa Lara of Lisa's Life Lines, their work is always inspiring.

  3. Fabulous card, Jane! Same here. I can sit an analyze a card to death if I don't stick to my original plan. And I am also a huge admirer of Debby. Thans for playing along this week at CAS-ual Fridays!

  5. Stunning card, Jane but for our one layer week the card needs to be just the card base with no additional layer.
    Fabulous feather!
    Thanks very much

  7. Hi Jane, Fabulous coloring, yours was the first card I clicked on - to make it a one-layer card, try again, but just emboss some lines around the square - it will give an effect similar to layers.

  15. Very beautiful card. I love how the colour seems to run a bit around the feather, giving it a fuzzy, more natural look.
