I know what you're thinking!!!!!!! Where in this world did I get the idea to make earrings out of this weeks digi image from Hambo Stamps !!!!! I am even amazed... I mean.... the challenge is to make anything but a card with this weeks digi image called FISH HOOKS!!!, so do I think of anything else like a tag, or a goodie bag,???? ....Nooooooooo, the first thing that I saw when I recieved the image was the loop at the top of the hook, and thought mmmmm I will make earrings, what was I thinking of !!! then to make things even harder I wanted to use shrinkles ( the sheets of thin plastic that you put in the oven and the image shrinks to a seventh of the size) a bit like when I was a kid and would put crisp packets (potato chips to you Americans) in the oven and they would miraculously shrink and go hard. Anyway, as you cannot pass the shrinkles through the printer I first had to print the image onto copier paper then trace it, color it and then finally bake in the oven, then I realised I hadn't used a sentiment so I did the same procedure for the sentiment and used that for the other earring....sooooo... any fishermen out there that wants to give their wife a pair of handmade earrings, maybe for an anniversary or valentines day or just cos you love her????? Going free to a good home.

SCS CAS217
Todays Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers is a sketch challenge and the minute I saw it I thought of the SKYLINE rubber stamp from Hambo Stamps. I used a white pigment ink on black card then cut round the outline, added an orange semicircle and the sentiment.....simple.

SPIDER WEB
Well, it's Wednesday, so that means it's a new Hambo Hoedown Challenge over at HAMBO STAMPS, and this weeks challenge is to incorporate some kind of webbing or mesh type material with this weeks image which is "spider web" which is given for free if you played last weeks challenge, if not then it can be purchased HERE. As I already have the rubber stamp versions of these two images, I welcomed the digi version because it is so versatile, I can print it to the size I want, so it's all good. I have to say (and I told Monica, the owner of Hambo Stamps) that I totally deserve the fussy cutter of the year award for the cutting I did for this card, I wanted to be able to see through the web to the mesh layer underneath, and as I have just done a bit of cobweb cleaning in my house, that is where I got the idea to put a chandelier on too...pesky cobwebs on light fittings!! Anyway, I love how the cutting went on the web, tricky though, but very theraputic. I added some glossy accents to the spiders and fussy cut them too....somebody stop me!!

Elephant & Bird Balloon
I have made this card for this weeks SCS Featured Stamper Challenge, this week it is Lin aka Bearpaw who is the featured stamper. I have used the ELEPHANT rubber stamp, colored it with promarkers, and for the balloons and sentiment I have used parts of the BIRD BALLOON digital image, both by Hambo Stamps. HERE is the card that I cased, I changed the sun for the elephant and also changed the sentiment.

Bird Egg and Feathers
The digi image this week at Hambo Stamps is called "BIRD EGG" and is given for free if you joined last weeks Hoedown Challenge, but if not, then can be purchased Here. This weeks challenge is to incorporate feathers in your project, I have some gorgeous feather boa's in my stash, so I decided to make an easter basket and fill it with feathers, and of course some chocolate eggs. I put the sentiment on the end of a barbeque skewer and stuck that in the basket too. I colored the bird with promarkers and then masked his head and egg, and sprayed iridescent spray on his feathers , but you cant see that too clearly in the photo. Hope to see you at the Hoedown this week.
