Big rosette little rosette

Over at the Hambo Hoedown this weeks challenge is to create a design that incorporates a LARGE and a small element in your project. the TROPHY SHEEP is great for this as it has a tiny rosette on his cup, so I desided to make a large paper rosette and I made the small rosette (very fiddly!) with a couple of flower punches. I added the 4 EWE sentiment to one of the tails, and made it into a gift tag.
There is a big change over at Hambo Stamps, the Hoedown Challenge is open to ALL images, from any company, digital or rubber! they are no longer requiring Hambo images exclusively to play along each week!!! The prize winners however, will be chosen from those using Hambo images. So ANYONE is welcome to play with ANY image! Come and join in the fun and help spread the word.

The World to Me

For this weeks Hambo Hoedown103 the challenge is to use this weeks image of frogboy or any other Hambo Stamps image ( if you don't have any then to start you off you can get a couple of freebies HERE ) and incorporate bumps on your project.  As I am on the rubber image team at the moment and not on the digi team I used Hambo Stamps rubber stamps  "Elephant-2513" with  "Globe-2917" and "you mean the world-2928" rubber sentiment. I'm gonna try and do more CAS cards, I love doing my easel cards with all the bits and bobs I put on, but I equally love the simplicity of CAS.

An Angel at My Table IC375

Splitcoaststampers inspiration challenge this week is from a website that is a charming, family-run web and catalog store in the the UK called "An Angel at My Table." Their inventory is “quirky, unusual and individual” and some products even have a definite 'artisanal' quality about them “based on originality more than perfection!” for my inspiration I saw THIS little city, interactive stationary, it looks so gorgeous and it inspired me to do this card using Hambo Stamps rubber image called SKYLINE 0433. the colored houses are so striking.

Hog Heaven

As I am on the rubber stamps team with Hambo Stamps for the first two months, I couldn't wait to get started with my new rubber and now new to Hambo stamps,  clear stamps. I started off with the fantastic SKYLINE-0433, the ANGEL PIG-1902 the CLOUD-3407 and the HOG HEAVEN-1902 sentiment, to make this stair step card. these kind of cards are fabulous if you want a dimensional card, (and lets face it...I cant do "flat" cards), I had so much fun making this and I just love it, the skyline rubber stamp is so versatile so I am sure I will be using it lots.

In The PIG PEN Again! SQUEEEEEEL!!!

It is the start of a new term on the design team for Hambo Stamps and I couldnt be more happier! like I said in my last post, I have loved the last four months and am looking forward to the next four, with three new girls in the pig pen, Isha Gupta, Kendra Wietstock, and Lori McAree together with Deborah, Lyn and me, they all do amazing work so I can't wait to see what my pig pen friends create.
To start off the new term all the bacon bits create something using the new Hambo Stamps digi image called "Bailey Rocks!" and the challenge is to incorporate metal, ie; metallic paper, charms, foil embossing, frames, etc. Well!!! I went a teensy bit mad on the whole metal theme but boy did I enjoy making this concertina/cascade card. I started off embossing some gold foil card in my cuttlebug with the allegro EF then using my nail file I filed along the top to scrape away some of the gold, I absolutely loved the effect so I will definitely be doing more of that, after making the card base I added some Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets dies after coloring them with various metalic colored ink, and then added some papertrey ink stars. I decoupaged Bailey so that his guitar stood out and placed him on the bone with the sentiment. Isn't Bailey so cute!, If you played last weeks hoedown challenge he is yours for free this week, if not then you can purchase him here.  I added this photo below to prove that it does fold flat(ish).
